The Russian music band "Flying Balalaika Brothers" represents Russian folk music, crossover to bluegrass and many other international acoustic styles. Originally formed in Los Angeles as a street band, "Flying Balalaika Brothers" is sure to provide fun and antics as three sizes of Balalaikas perform in a style that can only be described as what happens when “Russian Caviar meets Texas Barbecue!”
"Flying Balalaika Brothers" had a pretty large history of performers from "Limpopo", "Red Elvises", "Kalinka" and many other guest Russian players. Now based in Austin, "Flying Balalaika Brothers" has been featured on KUT (Austin) radio and working on national notoriety.
Flying Balalaika Brothers current lineup: Zhenya Kolykhanov - prima balalaika, main vocals, banjo, guitar, accordion conjunto. Aleksander Kuznetzov - bass balalaika, vocals, percussions,bass guitar. Segrey Vashchenko - vocals, prima balalaikas, bass balalaika, bayan.
